A2LA Accreditation
New Mix Lab is accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation in the Geotechnical area for Putting Green Materials Testing. As an accredited laboratory, New Mix Lab is also included in the USGA Green Section’s Accredited Laboratories List.
Accreditation is important to our clients. As an accredited lab, NML participates in quarterly evaluations of its testing procedures and bi-annual audits. The materials that are tested for use in golf course and athletic field construction are inherently variable. The goal of NML and its staff is minimize the uncertainty associated with the test procedures so that any differences between test results of the same material are an accurate reflection of the material itself. This last sentence is the essence of “technical competence”. Accreditation means that we have demonstrated technical competence in the tests listed in our Scope of Accreditation. To maintain that competence, NML engages in the continuous process of self-assessment of both staff and procedures in order to maintain the highest possible accuracy of its reported results.
